Final Project Proposal

Project Ideation

  1. Tell us about the idea of your project. Why do you care about this? What were you inspired by? Include images and videos of similar projects

  • I want to evolve my wood kinetic sculpture art by replacing the torque motor with electric motor to insure more movement time.

  • It's my work so i care to make it smarter

  • My work inspired me :D

2. Sketch your project: You may use pen and paper or a simple sketching tool like MS Paint

3. What are the core modules that your project consist of?

  • Sculpted wood

  • 3D printed rods

  • Electric motors

  • Ardoino

  • Bluetooth

  • Bearings

  • Mobile app

4. Describe the general functions and features of your project. How would it work?

This beautifully solid wood sculpture rotates both clockwise and counterclockwise creating a unique pattern.

At the end of this project you will be able to control it by using the mobile app.

Project Planning

5- Categorize your project’s User Features into: Minimum, Complete, and Nice-to-have features. List the required action and input components per feature.

  • Minimum Features: are the least amount of features that would demonstrate the coverage of all the technical modules and their complete integration

  • Complete Features: are the set of features that will complete your original project objective and vision

  • Nice-to-have Features: are the extra set of features that will make the project cooler, yet they need extra time, effort, and/or resources to finish

Minimum User Features

  • 2 parts of wood 1 part rotate clockwise and counterclockwise when usre start it.

    • Action: counterclockwise and clockwise rotating

    • Sensing: voice sensing to start it when you make a voice around it

    • User Input: ON/OFF switch

Complete User Features

  • 2 parts of wood rotate clockwise and counterclockwise when user start it.

    • Action: counterclockwise and clockwise rotating.

    • Sensing: voice sensing to start it when you make a voice around it .

    • User Input: ON/OFF the power.

Nice-to-have User Features

  • ....

    • Action: counterclockwise and clockwise rotating

    • Sensing: voice sensing to start it when you make a voice around it .

    • User Input: mobile app to ON/OFF the power.

6. What are the expected milestones and its time-frame?

Milestone 1

design and making the basement that contain two motors to rotate the front and the back pieces sculpture.

Milestone 2

Add arduino to the project.

Milestone 3

remote control.

7. What are the expected electronic components and materials to be used?
