Design a model of a simple mobile phone stand that may rest on a flat surface.
My Idea was to make back part then the two sides and conect them with screws and nut's
I care to do this idea to learn more about making 2.5D model.
I did some search on google to isnpire me.
To make it happen i used Fusion 360 to design the 2D parts.
keep in mind it will cut out of 3m plywood.
At first I started hands sketch the design that I want to make then by using Fusion 360 I start to draw it step by step, at first I drawed the back part (Ground part) then I start to drawed the side part and then I make a copy of it.
at first I prepared the wood sheet on the laser machine that i will use to fabricat my mobile stand, then i downloaded the rld file into the machine by using laserworks app.
for cutting I used 65 power and 22 speed.
for engraving I used 20 power and 300 speed.
Friend of mine advice me to engrave one of my art piece on the back of the mobile holder it's a good advice very excited to cut it out to see how it will look.
Also I helped one of my peers to convert his desing from bodyes into componant by using fusion 360.
It was a little hard to make T-slots for this design, i had to make sure the screws and nut's will fit in perfcet so i take the measure for the screws and nut's that came with the game kit.
By converting this mobile stnad design to 3D and assemble it I can now do the same with my final project to avoid any measure mistakes before the fabrication.
Converting 2D sketch into 3D it was amazing and i will never forget some shortcut in Fusion like J for Join :D
I Also learn to add appearance to my 3D model.
Using Fusion 360 I designed 3D vase to be fabricated using Laser Cutting.
