What is a Stop Motion?
Stop motion is a filmmaking technique used to create animation or cinematic sequences by photographing objects or characters one frame at a time and then playing those frames in rapid succession to create the illusion of motion. Each frame is a photograph or image of the scene or objects being moved slightly between frames. When these individual frames are played back in sequence at a standard film or video frame rate (typically 24 frames per second), it gives the impression of movement.
For the initial process, in class we had to take about 9 photos of a paper crinkled up in different ways. Then we were to transfer these photos into a folder on our laptop. Then we had to load these files into photoshop and create them into a time frame animation. After that, I removed the background and added a layer for the background color which is pink. Lastly, I made each layer .01 seconds to create this stop motion.

Final 1:
The stop motion to the left was an idea I just thought of. A lot of my inspiration I saw on pinterest were used for marketing tactics. So, many of the stop motions were used for products and advertising. This was my favorite one I did, and I thought it was so fun to do. It was super easy and the greenery I added, I got the idea from pinterest.
Final 2:
This stop motion to the left is also another one that I created. A lot of my inspiration stems from beauty products and marketing as that is the field I want to go into after I graduate. Although very random, I just thought it was a great idea using products and the hair clip to symbolize self-care and beauty. I chose these 3 skin care products because I liked how they were all purple and matched the color scheme I was trying to go for.
