My name is Abbey Surdy, and I am a Duquesne University student majoring in occupational therapy with a minor in assistive technology. I chose occupational therapy because I’ve always been drawn to helping people in a way that feels practical and meaningful. OT focuses on real-life skills and everyday occupations, and I love the idea of helping someone become more independent, confident, and engaged in their own life. I am committed to inclusive, person-centered practice, and I’m eager to continue developing the skills that will allow me make an impact as a practitioner.
