Here is your final video for music academy recorder this year! I hope you will continue practicing your recorder this summer with the songs I have shared with you. You can also find many new songs to play in the link to the left.
Next Friday we will do "Show and Play" during a zoom meeting. I will send you the information for how to connect next week. Choose your favorite recorder song and play it for your classmates next Friday. Let's see how much you've learned!
Here's a song that you can play many times in a year: "Happy Birthday"! This song will use most of the notes we have learned this year. Start slowly and make sure all of your notes are being played clearly before playing more quickly.
Let's review high C and high D. Did you play Old MacDonald this past week? Don't forget to keep practicing Lightly Row!
Let's practice low and high notes with different songs this week. Keep practicing, and you will be able to play so many new songs!
<-- Try learning "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" following this link. You can pause it after each new line and practice that line until you can play it without pausing. Have fun!
Let's play a song using high D!
Practice High D with other notes. Play all of the songs on this page, but "Lightly Row" is the song I want you to practice the most this week. Have fun!
Only try this song if you have practiced everything else I have sent over the last month. If you do play the song, please send me a recording!
This song is very difficult for beginner recorder, but I know some of you have been practicing so much that you are ready for a challenge!
Are you ready to learn 1 more new note? Let's learn high D!
Let's keep working on high C!
Are you ready to learn 2 new notes?
Let's learn middle C
Middle C fingering
Let's learn the note F
Fingering for F
You can print out this staff paper to make flash cards for practicing! --->
<-- Here is another way to practice note identification.
Let's learn a new note!!!
G2 recorder students, here is a game to practice identifying notes. This week we will practice identifying notes from low D through high C.
<-- That one has some hints for notes. This link is the same game, but without hints. It is more difficult, so good luck!
Here is a game to practice identifying notes. This week there are only 3 notes to practice: G, A, B. Play this game 3 times this week. If you want to add more notes, let me know!
