Designed user interfaces and communication software for a range of black box instruments to provide a user friendly interface to all the hardware functions without the user having to have any knowledge of the command syntax or communication protocol.

Features included:

* User friendly ultrasonic setup controls which work cooperatively with the command line editor and vice versa.

* Informative startup messages and configuration changes reported in a System Status window.

* Advanced command configuration utility to quickly compile command scripts without an in-depth knowledge of instrument command syntax and parameters.

Other functional features are general ultrasonic parameter setup, multi-gate echo triggering, time varying gain control and Ascan and Sector scan visualisations.
