Developed the automation software for a bespoke industrial environmental controlled climate test chamber which is able to simulate high wind speeds, snow, ice and varying humidity conditions.
The project combined closed loop PID motion control, digital signal processing for multiple sensor types, integration of data acquisition and motor drive hardware, and control of electromechanical solenoids and valves.
The successful completion of this project enabled the company to obtain certification for their water droplet removal filtering systems for use in the oil and gas industries.
A sample sheet of the over 100 analog and digital I/O used to control and monitor the environmental chamber.
Wiring and RF shielding was complex and ably undertaken by Håkon Østby-Berge.
