Day 1
Reflection:
Overall, everything went pretty well. Although when I arrived at the site, the stream had shrunken compared to the last time I visited. So I had to walk around the area to find an adequate place with riffles and a depth of ankle height. The stream is small, mostly shallow and colored brownish. It got a score of 108 on the Habitat Assessment Field. I noticed that its riparian zone is poor (rating of 1) and its Channel Altercation is marginal (rating of 9). The stream is right under a bridge, near 5 houses and an elementary school. The ph scores changed over time; in the beginning it looked like a 7 however it turned into an 8.1. The conductivity measured 734 and the temperature was 21.8℃. It also was a sunny day with a temperature of 74℉. I especially enjoyed the day since my sister came along with me and helped me out with taking photos. All in all, it was a fun field day!
