Marcoinvertebrates

Day 2 

Reflection: I dragged my little sister with me to the stream and I almost fell trying to get to the place. It was a hot day and I struggled getting the macroinvertebrates since the stream is pretty shallow and there aren't many rocks in the stream but instead around it. The stream only fills about ⅓ of the bank. So, me and Milena (my little sister) walked along the stream trying to find a good spot for like 8 minutes. We instead found a whole bunch of frogs, cute birds and a few crayfish. Eventually we found a spot but only got a few macroinvertebrates, so we went upstream instead and found a better spot. Although, I noticed the conductivity higher up the stream was less being 710 meanwhile going deeper downstream it was 900. I had a somewhat hard time identifying the macroinvertebrates and there was no good spot to sit so I was sitting on muddy rocks in a bad posture. I have to do a little hike to get out of the area and it's steep so as I was trying to get up, I slipped and got mud in my eye. I enjoyed Milena being so invested in picking the macroinvertebrates from the box though. She also went on a hunt to show me interesting looking bugs. Overall, it was an okay field day.
