During this general meeting (open to returning and new Asian Alliance for Mental Health members), we discussed mental health in the Asian community and engaged in de-stressing activites including writing a letter of self-compassion and creating a positive self-affirmations "fortune teller."

Our officers represented the Asian Alliance for Mental Health at the "Where I Belong" book discussion hosted by the Yellow Chair Collective and Eldest Daughter Club at mam's books (located in Seattle Chinatown-International District).

Authors of "Where I Belong," Soo Jin Lee and Linda Yoon, discussed their personal experiences as Asian Americans and mental health professionals, including topics like model minority myth, self compassion, and historical/racial trauma. Order their book here!

To fundraise for our organization and FAUNA Mental Health Foundation, as well as spread the word about our club, we tabled at the Winter Asian Maker's Fair, hosted by the Associated Students of the University of Washington's Asian Student Commission's (ASC).
