Annapolis / Anne Arundel Financial Education Coalition

Who We Are

The Annapolis/Anne Arundel Financial Education Coalition (AAAFEC) was formed in Spring 2018 to bring organizations, individuals, and businesses together to work to increase the financial stability of County residents and employees. It will fulfill its mission by promoting and expanding existing programs, determining the gap in services, and developing impactful financial education programs to meet identified needs.

Our Mission

AAAFEC is dedicated to improving the economic success of people in our community by providing high quality financial education services. We believe that by working together, we can more effectively raise awareness about the need for financial education, and more efficiently deliver a full spectrum of programs to all residents in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.

Guiding Principles

City and County residents need access to high quality financial education.

The AAAFEC will work collaboratively and inclusively to provide high quality financial education in a non-judgmental, respectful manner.

Teaching materials provided by the AAAFEC, or approved by the AAAFEC Program Committee, will be up to date, accurate, and free from sales of products or services, including references to specific financial institutions or products.

Educators will not offer financial advice.  All community and school-based volunteer educators adhere to a framework that is outlined in the AAAFEC Educator Agreement they sign which can be found here.

The AAAFEC will measure and evaluate the impact of its work.
