"Good" and "bad" are very undescriptive words to describe something. Some people are analytical, breaking down everything to potentially even the tenth of a square inch to satisfy their demands, and some just want the truth plain up front, short and sweet to the point. Every single vehicle is unique in its own right, and with the A8 Reviews mission to turbocharge the evolution of the car review, we created the REVIEWS Score.
We base the REVIEWS Score off of seven categories that our team believes are the most common things people ask about when shopping for a new car. After numerous days of trying to strike an acronym perfectly, we found REVIEWS. Below is a breakdown of the REVIEWS Score scoring system.

This is an assessment of the vehicle's reliability, similar in concept to Consumer Reports. We compare the brand, competitors, and predecessors reliability ratings through multiple sources (ex. forums). This can be loosely be summed up as a "Predicted" Reliability rating.
This is an assessment of general interior comfort. A small car can score high points for a roomy interior. This also includes adjustability, and an extending thigh cushion always awards bonus points.
This is an assessment of what you get for what you spend. A car is a MAJOR investment... you don't want your dashboard to crack and split on your recently purchased $100,000 SUV!!!
This is an assessment of the automakers creativity. Features that make life easier, maybe a neat Easter egg, even things that are a segment-exclusive.
This is an assessment of the in-vehicle technology. How it functions, its reactiveness, ease-of-use, and much more. We also compare the vehicle to its competition in order to determine the score.
This is an assessment of the vehicle's driving dynamics. Does the ride translate to what the purpose of the vehicle is? Is the vehicle underpowered? Does the vehicle ride quiet? How direct is the steering and its feedback?
This is an assessment of the ability to keep passengers safe. This includes passive and active safety features and advanced driver aids as well as how they function, and IIHS crashworthiness ratings to determine our rating.
This is a total of our seven most important categories (REVIEWS).
Our Subjective Category is literally what it says it is... a subjective category. It gives extra points that can be earned through special touches, quirks, features, or anything that really stood out to our team. The higher the score, the cooler the vehicle was to us!!!
The Grand Total is the combined scores of the Subtotal and Subjective Categories. This is an assessment of how the vehicle fairs against not just A8 Reviews' stringent standards, but the vehicle's competition as well.
