Rina-Green Noodle (Irina Sinichkina) – Textile Artist
Born in 1970 in Moscow, Rina-Green Noodle is a textile artist who graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art with a degree in Art History. Since 2016, she has been exploring textile art, reinterpreting the rug hooking technique to create tapestry paintings and volumetric textile sculptures from old clothing and recycled materials. She is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (TSHR), within the Decorative and Applied Arts section.
Her works are infused with stories and memories embedded in fabrics that have traveled through time. By transforming discarded objects into new artistic forms, she unveils their hidden meanings. Her creations have been showcased at prominent Russian and international exhibitions.
In 2024, she presented her solo project “Atlas of Dreams” at the “Soul of Russia” quilting festival held at Gostiny Dvor. She also participated in the group exhibition “Archaeology of Sleep” at the House of Creativity of Writers in Peredelkino. Additionally, her solo exhibition “Moon in Pisces” took place at the “Textura” gallery in Moscow.
Graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art in 1998, majoring in Journalism, Faculty of Art History.
Since 2016, has been professionally engaged in art. Mastered and reinterpreted the American rug hooking technique. Creates carpet paintings from old clothes.
Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (TSHR), Decorative and Applied Arts section.
Studied painting under artist Vasily Florensky.
Rina-Green Noodle creates art filled with meaning, stories, and care for the world. Her works are born from recycled materials, old clothes, and fabrics that have undergone a long journey. Her carpet paintings and sculptural pieces encapsulate emotions, memories, and traces of time. She calls herself a "trash artist," as she sees discarded items as carriers of life ready to take on a new form. That is why her artistic name includes Noodle—a symbol inspired by the very process of working with textiles, where fabric scraps intertwine into a single weave of lines and textures, resembling flowing streams of noodles.

Title: The Birth of an Organ for the Sixth Sense
Medium: Rughooking technique, burlap, textile
Dimensions: 100 × 148 cm
Year: 2021
Location: Saint Petersburg, Russia
The Birth of an Organ for the Sixth Sense (2021) is a complex textile artwork consisting of 26 interchangeable fragments. Due to its intricate construction, the piece was never fully exhibited, except for three fragments showcased at the artist’s solo exhibition Heroes of the Neighboring Cosmos at the Museum of Russian Lubok and Naïve Art. The composition captures a sense of tension through confined figures locked in chaotic motion—each isolated yet united in their solitude. This tension ultimately leads to transformation, culminating in the emergence of a new being.
