Sound familiar? I actually remember thinking this to myself when I was about 100 pounds overweight and felt helpless. The thing is, reaching out for help and surrounding yourself with others who are trying to get healthy is THE BEST way to be successful on your weight loss journey! You need to get out of your comfort zone if you really want to make some changes to your life. Plus, if you do want to workout in a gym but are embarrassed, please remember that most people who are working out are more focused on their own goals while they're in the gym, and are people who are more likely to encourage and support you if they see that you look lost than they are to make fun of you. This is something I learned as I took the risk and first joined a gym.
Being a CPT, I get to work with a wide range of people with different fitness levels, goals and needs. Some may be reluctant to hire a trainer as they believe their only focus is adding muscle to people who are already thin or are "in shape." In fact, it is quite the opposite! I happen to work both 1-on-1 and in small groups with many incredible men and women who are severely obese or who have never stepped foot in a gym before. I coach those who would prefer to use my at-home workout guide in their living room which include the elderly! I have even worked in conjunction with physical therapists to help rehabilitate their patients who are recovering from a fall or surgery. My knowledge continues to broaden as I work with a diverse clientele which makes my experience even more beneficial for my clients! If you're not sure which exercises to perform in your gym/at home, which body parts to train together and need some guidance with how to perform these exercises, my 2 Home Workout Guides are perfect for you. These could be done in your living room or taken to the gym!
Level 1 consists of 5 complete circuits and Level 2 consists of 6 complete circuits. Each circuit in both guides has 7-8 exercises in each and includes a video of me performing every exercise along with a full description so you know how to perform every move safely & effectively!
The Level 1 guide is a FULL BODY guide which I talk you through a lot of the moves for & the BODY SCULPT guide has moves grouped into circuits based on SPECIFIC MUSCLE GROUPS (legs one day, shoulders another day, etc). I would say that the full body one is more "Level 1" and focuses on more bodyweight moves & the BODY SCULPT is a Muscle Focused plan that is more "Level 2" and uses added weight much more.
BOTH only require a set of dumbbells & resistance bands!
