OMNIA Pro is a Blender add-on designed to simplify the process of bringing external animations into the OMNIA 2 Rigs.
It provides a complete workflow for transferring motion from Mixamo, ActorCore (Reallusion), and Genesis 9, ensuring that animations adapt cleanly and accurately to your characters.
Beyond retargeting, OMNIA Pro includes a robust set of tools for animation management and pose editing.
With features like animation baking, facial mocap import via ARKit (Live Link Face), IK/FK controls, pose libraries, and quick retarget utilities, the add-on is built to save time and streamline production.
Whether you are working on games, cinematics, or interactive projects, OMNIA Pro gives you full control over how animations are imported, adjusted, and reused — all directly within Blender’s N-Panel.
Download the add-on ZIP file, named:
omnia_pro(version).zip
(for example: omnia_pro_1.3.4.zip).
In Blender, go to:
Edit › Preferences › Add-ons › Install...
Select the omnia_pro(version).zip file without extracting it.
Once installed, enable the checkbox next to OMNIA Pro.
A path field will appear to set the library location for poses and animations.
By default, it will be saved in the add-on directory:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\4.0\scripts\addons\omnia_pro
The add-on will be available in the side panel (N-Panel).
Open the 3D Viewport.
Expand the side panel (press N).
You will find the OMNIA Pro tab.
My models and the Pro Addon are usually created using the latest stable version of Blender, but I always make sure they are compatible with version 4.0 and up.
All files are tested on their respective compatible versions before being released.
Define the armatures you will use:
Main Rig → your character with the OMNIA Rig. This is the destination where everything will be applied.
Face Widget → the additional rig for facial controls (if used).
Source Rig → the imported animation rig (Mixamo, ActorCore, or Genesis 9).
Without a valid Main Rig, all other options remain locked.
Import ARKit facial capture from CSV files (recorded with iPhone/iPad + Live Link Face).
Main options:
Import Head Rotation → imports head rotation (Yaw, Pitch, Roll).
Spine Follow → defines how much the torso follows head rotation.
Import CSV → select the .csv file and generate facial animation on the rig.
Clear → removes all imported ARKit keys.
The frame range for import is defined in the Frame Range section, the same as for baking body animations.
To capture and import facial mocap from Live Link Face into Blender with OMNIA Pro:
Install the Live Link Face app on your iPhone or iPad.
Open the app and go to Settings.
Set Mode to ARKit.
Enable Head Rotation if you want to capture head movement along with facial animation.
Record your facial performance.
When finished, tap the slate icon with the magnifying glass (bottom left) to view your recordings.
Locate your take, select it, and share/export it in the way that’s most convenient (email, iCloud, Google Drive, etc.).
On your computer, download and extract the exported ZIP file (for example: MySlate_5_iPhone.zip).
Inside, locate the CSV file (for example: MySlate_5_iPhone.csv).
Use this raw CSV file for import.
In Blender, open OMNIA Pro > Face Mocap, click Import CSV, and select your file.
Wait for the process to complete — the facial animation will now be applied to the OMNIA Rig.
That’s it. Your Live Link Face capture is ready to use inside Blender.
The core of the add-on: transfer motion from a compatible source (Mixamo, ActorCore, or Genesis 9) to the OMNIA Rig.
Retarget (Pose) → transfers only the current frame pose.
Bake Animation → transfers the full animation to the OMNIA Rig, within the defined Frame Range.
Quick Load & Bake → imports an external file (FBX or GLTF), automatically assigns it as the Source, and bakes the animation to the OMNIA Rig.
During baking, a progress panel appears showing status and allowing cancellation with ESC.
Defines the frame interval used for Bake Animation and Face Mocap.
Auto (from source) → automatically detects the animation range from the source.
Manual → manually set Start and End frames.
Step → spacing of keyframes (e.g., 2 = creates a key every two frames, reducing density).
Manage animation actions on the OMNIA Rig.
Action Name → name of the new action when baking.
Delete Action → dropdown menu showing only the actions linked to the selected rig (not the whole scene).
Additional settings affecting the retarget/bake process:
Clean target (ON by default)
Clears the rig’s previous pose before applying retarget.
Recommended ON to avoid mixing with other poses/animations.
Copy root translation
Toggles transfer of root/hip movement.
Push to NLA
When baking, sends the animation to an NLA track, freeing the active Action.
Disable Limit Rotation (ON by default)
Disables OMNIA bones’ rotation limits.
Recommended ON, since many external animations exceed these limits and would otherwise look incorrect.
Quick tools to manipulate OMNIA Rig poses.
Basics
Reset Pose → restores all bones to a neutral base pose.
Toggle Pose/Object Mode → switches between Pose and Object mode.
Symmetry
Flip Pose (L ↔ R) → mirrors the full pose from one side to the other.
Copy Pose Mirrored → copies bones from one side and pastes them mirrored to the opposite.
IK/FK
What is IK/FK?
FK (Forward Kinematics) → animating bone by bone, from root to tip (e.g., moving the shoulder to animate the arm).
IK (Inverse Kinematics) → animating from the extremity (e.g., moving the hand so the entire arm follows).
IK/FK controls let you blend between both systems:
0 = 100% IK
1 = 100% FK
Sliders available for:
Arms IK/FK (Left & Right)
Legs IK/FK (Left & Right)
Fingers FK/IK (Left & Right)
Global Toggles
Global FK (Arms & Legs) → forces all arms and legs to FK.
Global Fingers IK → puts both hands in IK for fingers.
Snap FK/IK
Convert between systems while preserving the same pose.
Buttons: FK → IK and IK → FK for arms and legs (both L and R).
Stretch Controls
Adjust arm and leg stretching in IK mode.
Higher values allow more extension when moving IK controllers.
Useful for correcting length mismatches in imported animations.
Built-in system to save and reuse poses and animations.
Poses
Save → store the current pose as .json.
Load → apply a saved pose.
Delete → remove the selected pose.
Animations
Export → save the active action as a .blend file.
Import → load an action from a .blend file.
Delete → remove an animation file.
Face Widget
Same options, applied to the facial rig.
The Info tab provides details on add-on status and installation/compatibility utilities.
Rig Layers Panel
Allows installing an additional rig layers panel for OMNIA.
If not yet installed, you’ll see an Install button.
Once installed, a check mark will confirm it is ready.
Auto Run Python Scripts
If Preferences > File Paths > Auto Run Python Scripts is disabled, a red warning will appear.
This is required so the rig layers panel loads automatically when opening a file.
A direct button is included to open Preferences and enable it.
Compatibility
The add-on is designed for retargeting from:
ActorCore (Reallusion)
Mixamo
Genesis 9 (FBX format, not .duf)
Add-on Version
Displays the installed version, for example:
OMNIA Pro — Version 1.3.4
Important
The add-on is exclusively compatible with the OMNIA Rig system.
It will not work with other rigs or generic retargeting outside the OMNIA ecosystem.
