As someone who is an avid angle this mini one day exhibit was a lot of fun. Making learning tangible can make the lessons stick just that much better.

Presentation at Alberta Ecotrust Gathering in 2019
The following information graphic demonstrates a platitude of factors and elements that are connected to what is seemingly a 'simple fishing trip'.
Connecting with industry leaders and conducting desk research helped to product this connect map.
The design is messy and difficult to track individual lines as the visual of the mass of connects was core to the story rather than the ability to individually track each line.
The poster was presented in a mini exhibition
The theme of the research was "The weight of your choices". Quite on the nose, booth participants would choose from a binary option of elements of packing for a fishing trip. (EX: net/no net, barbed/barbless hooks, etc.) Each box was weighted and collected to a final weight station with a three tier assessment ranking related to the weight of the choices of the participant.
Any engagement with the natural world will have an impact.
Additionally, the system mapping data was tacitly created with a wooden board and yarn if booth participants wanted to engage with the data.
