What are Our Uniforms?
In Civil Air Patrol we primarily use three uniforms. You will mainly have your standard ABUs (Airman Battle Uniform) and your dress uniform called Blue Service Uniforms or dress "Blues." During a PT (physical training) activity, you will wear PTUs (physical training uniform) which is made up of modest length dark blue or black shorts, a dark blue or black short sleeve tee shirt or the ten tee shirt you will wear underneath your ABU blouse.
You're in luck! We have a uniform manual that will answer all of your questions. There are lots of regulations when it comes to your insignia (the pins that will go on your collar to signify your rank), ribbons (shows all of your achievements and is pinned on the left side of your Dress Blues blouse), and so much more. It also goes into detail of the physical hygiene and appearance regulations as well. You can find an online copy at this link Uniform Regulations Manual. If you have any questions or would like someone to check over uniform to make sure you're up to regulation standards, don't hesitate to reach out to your flight sergeant or element leader- they are here to help you!

There is a manual on drill that you can get in a hard copy, or as an online form here: Drill Manual, There is a drill section in your Learn To Lead book.
