What is eServices?
eServices is a resource that CAP uses to provide cadets with all of its online resources. This is what you will use to take your promotion tests, see your rank and achievements, and so much more that we will get into later.
Once you become a cadet, you will be assigned a CAPID or Civil Air Patrol Identification. It will be six numbers long (i.e. 123456) and will show that you are a member; you will receive an email with this information detailed to your preferred or personal email that you put on your forms. Once your membership forms has gone through, you should receive your identification card in the mail at some point in the following weeks. You will want to keep this card on your person when participating in any CAP-related activity. If you have trouble with that or if it's lost in the mail, reach out to your chain of command and they will help you get another shipped to you. You can also print one off of eServices.
Every year you will have to renew your membership, when you do you will also be issued a new card.
Signing In and Making an Account
Once you have received your CAPID, click this link Register for eServices, and it will take you to a "sign up" page that will allow you put in your last name, last 4 digits of your social security number, your date of birth, and your preferred or personal email. Later we will show you how to sign in and use your AKWG (Alaska Wing) issued email, and unless you plan to use this email frequently, it's advised that you use your primary email so that you are able to quickly access any important emails and so that you will be able to check it frequently. Once you sign up, you'll be able to access your account through this website: eServices Log-in. Try to remember your password or choose something easy to remember, as you'll be accessing eServices frequently throughout your time as a cadet. You can change this password at anytime. You will also need to go through a short module, that basically just goes over terms of confidentiality.
