Baha'i Faith of the Shoals
We are the Baha'is of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Rogersville, and areas of northwest Alabama and Tennessee.
Welcome to the Website of the Baha'i Faith of the Shoals, representing northwestern Alabama and southern Tennessee, along the Tennessee River Valley. The Baha'i Faith has been an active part of religious and social life in America since the late 1800's. We are a recognized advocate for spiritual solutions to issues pertaining to prejudice, economic dysfunction, gender equality, religious tolerance, service, peace, family and marriage, educational opportunity, and community-building. We are part of a world-wide religious community, united by our belief that there is one God, one human race, and one evolving religion. Thank you for visiting our site.
If you desire:

On Our Minds:
"Racism is a profound deviation from the standard of true morality. It deprives a portion of humanity of the opportunity to cultivate and express the full range of their capability.... It cannot be rooted out by contest and conflict. It must be supplanted by the establishment of just relationships among individuals, communities, and institutions of society that will uplift all and will not designate anyone as "other". The change required is not merely social and economic, but above all, moral and spiritual."
