Data Analysis
Data Analysis
Before analyzing the qualitative data, raw data from observations, interviews and focus groups must be transcribed into written form (Busetto et al., 2020). These transcripts are then coded and labeled with short descriptors that summarize the meaning of specific sentences or segments. Coding enables the researchers to group different content from various sources and identify patterns and themes. The final result is typically a descriptive theory that explains the phenomenon or behavior being studied.
