Disclaimer: The Schools Division Research Committee (SDRC) reserves the right to determine the final presentation type for each research study, regardless of the preferred format indicated by the researcher in the abstract submission. While the declared preference is considered, the final decision rested solely with the SDRC. The specific mechanics for each presentation type are outlined below.
A roundtable discussion is a face-to-face research presentation format where each scheduled researcher showcase their work through pre-recorded five-minute research videos. The focus is on efficient presentation followed by a live discussion session.
Each study for this presentation format has been allocated one presentation slot. However, to optimize the use of available seats, particularly in cases where studies share the same presenters or where panelists are concurrently serving as presenters, selected studies were granted more than one slot. The selection of presenters and additional presenters was guided by a prioritization scheme in the following order: main authors, panelists, members of the Technical Working Group, officers of the ERC, SecRC, E-CARE, Sec-CARE, Division Office personnel, and their co-authors. In instances where seats remained available after accommodating the prioritized individuals, additional presenters were selected through a random process to fill the remaining slots at the assigned tables.
Presenters must arrive at the plenary hall only during their assigned roundtable schedule. If a presenter arrives earlier than their scheduled time, they may stay in the designated waiting hall until called. After completing their scheduled presentation, each presenter is entitled to one snack, which can be claimed at the snack distribution area.
Presentation Phase
Each of the presenters shall present their 5-minute research video, played one after another. During this time, no verbal questions or interruptions are allowed. The research panel and attending researchers are expected to jot down their questions, clarifications, or insights as they watch the presentations.
Discussion Phase
After all videos have been shown, the floor shall open for questions and answers, clarifications, and insightful discussions. This segment shall be guided by the previously noted questions from the audience and the panel. All presenters remain available during this phase to respond and engage in the discussion.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs): ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS
1. What should I do if I am scheduled to present two different studies at the same time but in different roundtables?
A: Please email depedcavite.research@deped.gov.ph to request a schedule adjustment. One of your studies will be moved to the same table as the other so you can present both during the same time slot without conflict.
2. What should I do if I am scheduled to present two different studies at the different time but in different roundtables?
A: Please email depedcavite.research@deped.gov.ph to request a schedule adjustment. One of your studies will be moved to the same roundtable and time slot as the other, allowing you to present both consecutively without scheduling conflict.
3. I have multiple studies—I am the presenter for some, while my co-authors will present the others. Can I request to have all of my studies scheduled in the same time slot and table so I can attend all presentations?
A: Each presenter is assigned a specific time slot and table, with only one presenter allowed per study unless under special circumstances. The schedule was planned based on multiple factors, including panel availability and presenter locations. Because of this, we are unable to grant requests to group all your studies into one time slot.
4. Can I request a change in schedule or panelist assignment?
A: No. The schedule and panel assignments for roundtable discussions have been carefully planned based on presenter availability, panelist schedules, and to avoid conflicts. Presentations during roundtable discussions are also evaluated for awards such as Best Paper and Best Presenter. Changing panel members may compromise the fairness and integrity of the evaluation process, so such requests cannot be accommodated.
5. What happens if I cannot attend my roundtable presentation? Can someone else present on my behalf?
A: Yes, under the following conditions:
If you have a co-author: They may present on your behalf. However, you must send a formal letter to depedcavite.research@deped.gov.ph, signed by your immediate supervisor and addressed to SDS Rosemarie D. Torres, CESO V, authorizing the substitution and providing a valid reason for your non-attendance. Supporting documents or attachments may be included to justify your request. This request is subject to the approval of the Schools Division Research Committee (SDRC).
If you do not have a co-author: You may designate a school personnel to present for you. However:
Your study will be disqualified from the Best Presenter Award.
The Certificate of Participation and Recognition will include the name of the actual presenter, not the original author(s).

A Facebook Livestream Research Video Presentation is an online presentation format where pre-recorded research videos are broadcasted through a scheduled Facebook livestream, allowing a wider audience to view and engage with the research asynchronously. It emphasizes accessibility and digital reach without requiring live participation.
Each research study is presented through a 5-minute pre-recorded video. All videos shall be compiled and played consecutively during the scheduled Facebook livestream. The livestream shall be hosted on DepEd Tayo Cavite Province Facebook page.
While no live Q&A session shall occur, viewers are encouraged to post questions or comments in the livestream chat box. To ensure clarity, each question must include the title of the research study and the name(s) of the author(s). This allows the questions to be properly attributed and followed up if needed.
Presenters are not required to be present during the livestream, as their submitted videos shall be shown without live interaction.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION (FAQ): LIVESTREAM PRESENTATION
Q: Can I request for a change of schedule or panelist assignment?
A: No. Since this is a livestream presentation, authors are not required to be present during the video playback, and changes in the schedule will not affect the presentation process. Additionally, panel assignments cannot be changed, as presentations are part of the official evaluation for awards such as Best Paper and Best Presenter. Any change in panel members may raise concerns about fairness and the integrity of the scoring process.
