We Don’t Just Walk, We Conquer!
See what the IWT Walkers are achieving together:
10K Challenge Smashed: We recently conquered our "10,000 Steps to Health" goal, blazing through 12,269 steps in a single session!
Stamina Gains: Our club is setting new records! We recently completed a phenomenal 60 laps in 51 minutes, proving our dedication to consistent training.
Progressive Training: Our moving time has steadily increased to 51 minutes as we work toward achieving the recommended 150 minutes of weekly exercise.
Our journey officially kicked off with the successful Interval Walking Training Inaugural Walk on September 9, 2025. The enthusiasm was high as we gathered for our first structured session, quickly establishing the positive spirit and commitment to the small weekly contribution that fuels our post-walk community breakfast. We are proud of our history and excited for our future strides!

From Stress to Strength: How Showing Up Took Me 4 Kilos Down
Three months ago, I stepped on the scale at 64 kg, feeling stuck caught between life’s chaos and the weight of unspoken stress. Today, I’m at 60 kg. Four kilos down, with no fancy diets or gym memberships.
The change came from simply showing up: 60 minutes of community Interval Walking Training every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, surrounded by people who cheered me on even when I didn’t feel like lacing up. I also committed to the “Nothing After 6” rule: simple, practical, and effective.
Stress didn’t defeat me; it moved me forward, one step at a time, through rain and busy days alike. Seeing 60 kg on the scale wasn’t just about the number. It was proof that consistency beats perfection and that even in the middle of chaos, I can take care of myself.
What’s next? I’ll keep walking, add light stretching to my routine, and aim for another 2 kg. This journey isn’t over, it’s just getting started. — Cristina “Lovely” Fernando

"Before, I couldn't handle doing 6 hours of nearly continuous work on the farm. Now, after 2 hours of cutting weeds, I still manage more work and endure additional tasks without intense exhaustion. The benefits of interval walking for health and physical endurance are truly significant."

Triumph Over Adversity
As a stroke survivor, I know all too well that appearances can be deceiving. Walking independently once felt impossible without my trusted stick, but the 7A IWT Walking Exercises became my turning point. After just a few sessions, I walk freely without any assistive device—a milestone I once doubted I’d reach. I quickly learned that consistency is key; skipping sessions meant setbacks. My third session marked a personal victory: walking unaided, pushing through discomfort without rest. To anyone on this path: Progress isn’t about speed—it’s about showing up, again and again.
