Talise: Agents, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find out what suspicious activity is going on inside of the old Fidelity Savings Bank. I will be going undercover as a local musician.

Madi and Caleb: We accept.

Madi: **turns to Caleb** Let’s go, we need to get to the bank as quickly as possible to find out as much as we can about what’s going on there.

Caleb: To Ottumwa!

--------------------------------Flip Backdrop--------------------------------

Madi: (Says roughly) Excuse me, I’m working for LEGO, the Local Economic Growth Organization, and we're here to question you about the Fidelity Savings Bank. First, who are you and what is your business at the Bank?

Lydia: I’m Lydia Roling, and I’m the architect and building coordinator for the HydroPlantics Market.

Caleb: Wait… I thought you said this was a bank?

Lydia: This building used to be a bank. We remodeled it when I realized there was a problem with unused buildings in Ottumwa, like the Fidelity Savings Bank. Another issue is that large amounts of water are being wasted with traditional farming, when there are so many different, more eco-friendly methods.

Caleb: Okayyy… Anyway, what’s the PlydroHantics thing?

Lydia: A what? Oh, the HydroPlantics market is our solution. It is what we made to grow and sell produce to the community in a new and different way. We grow our produce hydroponically. This is beneficial because we can grow plants year round, eliminate pollution from agricultural runoff and it gives the city a safety net in case of food shortages.

Caleb: Surrrrre…. Follow us.

Brynn: Hi! I am bringing in the produce for the farmers market. I was in charge of the strawberries and honey today.

Emma: Okay, all you need to do is pay the 5 dollar fee and you’ll be good to go in booth one. You’ll have plenty of room because each of the eight booths is six feet by six feet.

Brynn: Ok thank you! It’s really cool that you let local farmers sell their products here.

Madi: Stop right there in the name of LEGO!

Emma: (Confused) Uh- okayyyy... How can I help you?

Madi: I was asked to come and question you on this building.

Emma: Well, we’ve constructed a HydroPlantics market. Here, people can buy food where there’s no pesticides. We also support local farmers by allowing them to sell their products here, like Brynn.

Madi: (To Brynn) Ok, well why do you choose to sell your produce here?

Brynn: I sell here because the HydroPlantics Market supports the local farmers, like me. This market also brings publicity to Ottumwa by doing something good for the locals.

Caleb: That actually seems really helpful to the community.

Brynn: Not to mention the environment.

Lydia: Our chemical engineer, Dr. Bradford, helped us make this possible.

Reese: Hello, I’m Dr. Bradford. How can I help you today?

Caleb: We’ve come to ask you about what’s growing on here. (Caleb runs behind backdrop to grab tacos)

Reese: As you know, we use hydroponics to grow our plants. The plants can grow nearly twice as fast compared to that with typical farming because they don’t have to work as hard to get the nutrients they need.

Madi: But wait, isn’t that just a normal greenhouse?

Reese: Actually, no. The HydroPlantics Market has two levels. The top level is an indoor temperature controlled hydroponic growing system equipped with artificial sunlight. that uses 80% less space then typical farming. The bottom level is used as an indoor farmers market where we sell our crops and farmers can bring in theirs to sell.

(Caleb walks in out of breath, and we all turn to face him)

Madi: It’s about time you got here! What took you so long?

Caleb: Sorry, this took too long so I went to go grab some food at Los Roy, my favorite taco place. They have the best produce, you can’t beet it! (pulls out beet and laughs at own joke) Get it?

Emma: Actually, we supply them with all their produce, in the quantities they need as a small business.

Caleb: Hey look its the owner of Los Roy, lets go get some more tacos!

Kaden: Can I get some tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, cilantro, and basil, in the small business size please.

Emma: Yes of course, that’ll be $42.99 (Kaden pays) Have a nice day.

Madi: So small business size huh. Whats that mean?

Kaden: Since I own a small business, I qualify for a discount and reduced size to get exactly what I need, rather than having to buy in bulk from big companies and not using all of it. And since I wouldn't use it, the produce would spoil and go to waste.

Caleb: Lettuce eat! Haha…. Look guys, I have two heads! (Holding up lettuce prop, and pointing back and forth from his actual head and the lettuce)

(Joe Swartz walks in the market)

Wyatt: Wow, I can see the information that I've given for your HydroPlantics Market has really helped this place grow and succeed.

Madi: What do you mean? You helped them with all this?

Wyatt: Yes, they contacted me to find out what was going on with the building. Before the Fancy Plants bought this place it was condemned. We were placaring the building and bringing it up to code.

Caleb: Major Magnolia will be wanting a report. Let's give her a kale? (Laughs at own joke again)

(Now at LEGO headquarters)

Talise: Agent C and Agent G tell me your findings and reports. Who did you get information from, and who are they sharing this with. Is there footage?

Madi: Let’s play it back.

Kaden: Produce from this market has allowed me to get great farm produce in my local community for my small business Los Roy.

Reese: Working in a partnership with local farmers and using our hydroponics, we have a farmers market all year long. We also support local musicians in Southeast Iowa, such as Yung Hunny, so they can perform there.

Lydia: The locals found out about our business through our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Emma: We have a website collaborating with Fancy Plants Team 794 with all of our list of products we sell.

Wyatt: We shared with team 794, Team 363, and gained information from local professionals, Joe Swartz, a local hydroponics expert.

Brynn: We gained information about the Fidelity Savings Bank from a local realtor, Jake Rush. We also shared with Gwen Marcellus from Horizon Farms.

Talise: My sources also show that they contacted the Legacy Foundation and the Iowa State University .

Madi: The team also shared with the Ottumwa Community School Board.

Caleb: Alright now that we’re done, can I have a snack?
