About Cubs

Excitement, adventure and friends are the big things for Cubs. Our programme offers a huge variety of activities from games and indoor activities, to day hikes, camps and outdoor skills like using maps and pitching tents. We learn more about the world, do creative activities, and get involved in our local community in Canvey.

Our Cub Pack follows on from Beavers. Cubs are from 8 to 10 ½ years old. Both girls and boys can join. It’s organised into Sixes, each led by an older Cub called a Sixer.

Cubs meet weekly on Thursdays at 6:00PM in term time.

Through participation in their programme, Cubs can gain a huge variety of badges and challenge awards. Cubs can achieve their Chief Scout’s Silver Award.

To join in, Cubs make their Cub Scout Promise.  At meetings Cubs wear a dark green uniform sweatshirt with the Group’s blue and red scarf and a woggle in the colour of their Six.
