Beavers meet on a Thursday Evening, starting at 16:30 and finishing at 17:45. 

Beavers, like all sections, accept boys and girls, they can join at six years old and then move onto Cubs at eight years old. 

Beavers have an active and exciting programme and during their time in Beavers they begin the journey of understanding the scouting values through being introduced to simple map reading, cooking on open fires, exploring nature. They often have visiting guest speakers or go off site to visit other people who help us such as RNLI, Fire Service etc. 

Beavers can also join sleep-overs and  camps, this is a good introduction to future camping activities as they move through the older sections. Lots of the Beavers have stayed with the Group through Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, some even returning to become adult leaders.
