5th Canvey Island Air Scout Group meets on Thursday nights , and is open to girls and boys. Squirrels for ages between 4 and 6 years old, Beaver Scouts is for ages 6 to 8, Cub Scouts for ages 8 to 10½ and Scouts for ages 10½ to 14. We also have a partnership agreement with Night Hawk Air Explorers which enables our young people to carry on scouting up to the age of 18. 5th Canvey was formed on October 1st, 1982 and achieved RAF recognition in 2008. This gives another level of interest for the young people, but does however mean we expect a high level of commitment, discipline and uniform.
