Here's your Friday Update -- Now with Pumpkin Spice!
September is in the books and goes down as one of our best starts ever. We are very proud of how hard the students are working, engaging, and learning.
Looking ahead, October brings apple cider, changing leaves, and cool evenings ... along with more fractions than one would ever need, the refinement and publication of our narratives, the continuation of our class novel study, a fun and creative 3-D food chain project, and the introduction of a shipload of European explorers (NOTE: Geography Test is on Tuesday).
Next week is the annual HTS Week of Respect. Please see the flyer below for details. Students are encouraged to wear the following:
MONDAY: Blue
TUESDAY: Bright Colors
WEDNESDAY: Favorite Team Shirt or Colors
THURSDAY: Favorite Shirt/Clothes
FRIDAY: HTS Spirit Wear or Blue/White
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Crum, Miss Conti, & Mr. J.
Mrs. Bulleit was here this week to welcome 5th graders onto the HTS Composting Crew. We learned all about the importance of recycling and how we will be composting our own food during lunch. The resulting compost will eventually be used in flower gardens in the community. It is an exciting time for all of us!
Here's a look at the sprouts of basil after 1 week ...
