Tucked within the rolling green heart of central France, Forest Life is a tranquil haven in the Creuse department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine (formerly Limousin). Here, time slows to the rhythm of birdsong and flowing water.

Nestled at the Moulin Bleu (The Blue Mill) - a renovated old water mill kissed by the flow of the River Gourbillon - this secluded retreat spans eight lush acres of the ancient Forêt de Clairavaux, part of the protected Parc naturel régional de Millevaches nature reserve. Meandering through woodland paths and open meadows, we find ourselves immersed in the untamed beauty of the French countryside.

With 300 metres of private riverbank, sun-dappled glades, and whispers of wildlife all around, there’s space to reconnect with nature—or just with yourself. Whether you wish to learn the quiet art of tracking, embrace wilderness living, observe the dance of dragonflies, or simply lie back and listen to the wind through the trees, or look up on a warm evening to admire the stars sparkling across a clear, unpolluted sky, Forest Life promises a soul-stirring escape.

Nearby, the shimmering Lac de Vassivière invites swims and stargazing, and the rugged, volcanic silhouettes of the Chaîne des Puys beckon adventurers to explore.
