A full-tang knife is always worth its weight in your bag and can serve many functions. A multi-tool can act as a backup to your knife while also providing other essential functions. It might include pliers, scissors, a small saw, and many other options.
Important Documents
Don’t forget copies of all your family’s important documents. Bring birth certificates, house deeds and titles, and insurance information. Be sure to store them in a plastic waterproof bag.
