Frequently Asked Questions

Is 413 Academy a team? Or does it matter what team my child plays on?

The 413 Academy collaborates with existing teams. Following a student's participation at the 413 Academy, they continue engaging in regular team practices and games.

Who are the teachers?

Education is provided through the online schooling platform of your choice. Connections Academy and Accelus Learning Center are our most popular options. The oversight of academic activities is led by Jeff Walker and Shad Hanrahan, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive educational supervision and guidance.

What grade levels is the 413 Hockey Academy offered to?

The 413 Hockey Academy is for students in 6th-9th grades.

What do the student-athletes do for strength and conditioning?

The student-athletes work with Steve Czerniejewski of Full Plate Strength and Conditioning. Steve creates a customized workout routine for each student and adjusts those routines throughout the year.

Do the student-athletes bring their own lunches?

Students are allowed to bring their own lunches and snacks each day. They also have the option of ordering from our partners at Main Street Grille.

How do you balance the student-athlete’s workload?

In order to be invited to attend the 413 Hockey Academy, a student must commit to success in the classroom first. Any challenges that arise in the classroom take priority over all other activities and training. Students must complete any unfinished assignments as homework over the weekend so that each Monday starts with the student's schooling being up-to-date.
