Parent Communication

As a parent myself, I love communicating with you!! Please discuss, ask, suggest anything that will help us all meet our goals! There are multiple ways to communicate with me:

• PeeChees (a folder) go home every Thursday. These will have school announcements, class info, and student work. Please return every Friday!
• Remind.com - SIGN UP for this right away!! This is the best way to communicate with me! This is a great texting app that sends whole class announcements and individual messages. I use this to communicate everything from a class movie, math helpers, grading timelines, to individual behaviors! If you have a question on any of these texts, I will respond, sometimes even from home. Another parent will never see your post or a response from me!
• Class Dojo - This is what I use for our daily and weekly behavior. Each student receives an AM point and PM point daily. After a warning, a student may lose a point. This will show up instantly for you to view on the app. It will also count in the weekly PeeChee grade. You will receive a printout that breaks this down. Sign up with your Thursday Class Dojo sheet. (Class Dojo also has a way to communicate with me, but I rarely check this!)
• Email is always a great way to contact me too: swheeler@dcsd.k12.nv.us ...unfortunately I may not get back to you through email until the following day.
• You may call the school of course! I do not recommend this because I may be instructing and not get the message until a later date.
