3DOR26 is pleased to participate in the Eurographics Widening Participation Scholarships programme.
The programme aims to support attendance at Eurographics events by researchers worldwide, with particular attention to applicants from underrepresented groups and applicants with financial need. It is intended to help broaden participation in the Eurographics community and make events such as 3DOR more accessible to researchers at different career stages.
We warmly encourage eligible researchers to apply. 3DOR has always benefited from an international and diverse community, and we hope this scholarship opportunity will help more researchers take part in the symposium, present their work, and connect with the 3D object retrieval community.
The scholarships are aimed primarily at researchers with financial need who can demonstrate the benefits to the applicant that attendance at the events will have on their careers, including those who have papers or other types of submissions accepted. Applicants may be early-career, mid-career, or established researchers and must be affiliated (e.g., student or working) with an institution that conducts research in computer graphics, visualization, 3D data processing, shape analysis, retrieval, benchmarking, or related fields. First-time attendees of the selected Eurographics event are prioritised, and applicants must not have previously received this scholarship.
The Eurographics Widening Participation Scholarship can cover:
the registration fee for the event;
a travel and accommodation stipend, depending on travel distance.
According to the Eurographics programme, the stipend may be up to €250 for attendees travelling up to 3000 km, and up to €1,000 for attendees travelling more than 3000 km. Registration costs are paid directly by Eurographics to the event organisers, while the stipend is paid after attendance.
Applications must be submitted through the official Eurographics application form. In the form, applicants should select:
Conference/Workshop: Eurographics Workshop on 3D Object Retrieval
Applicants are usually asked to provide information about their affiliation, career stage, prior attendance, self-identified underrepresented group, career impact statement, CV, and, optionally, a letter of support.
