Hi there! I'm re-opening printing commissions. Please note the pricing updates due to material cost increases. I now also offer FDM printing!
STL files for 3D printers are the equivalent of PDF files for inkjet printers, allowing us to print whatever you want in 3D. There are several ways of obtaining an STL file:
Design your own 3D model in any CAD/mesh software and export the part as an .STL
Find a free .STL model to print (the website Thingiverse contains entirely free user-uploaded designs)
Buy an .STL model to print
Complex figurines and miniatures are modeled by talented 3D artists, and they will sell their .STL files online on the following websites:
Etsy (eg. if looking for an .STL of a flower, enter "flower resin STL file" into the search bar)
BEFORE BUYING ANY .STLs:
Using the Order request form in Step 2, submit a link of the STL so that I can check and ensure it can be printed the way you requested. For any files you plan to purchase on CGTrader and MyMiniFactory: I will purchase them myself, send you the .STL file and add the cost to your printing total. (These sites have short expiration times on downloads once a file has been purchased, so this eliminates any chances of an .STL being lost).
Within 24-48 hrs of receiving your submission, I will get back to you with a quote and confirm the details of your order before I start printing.
Here are some rough lead-time estimates:
Prints that fit on a single build plate: 1-2 days
Prints requiring 'n' number of build plates: 'n' + 1 days
Once the prints have been successfully printed and post-processed, I will email you pictures of the finished print for confirmation!
If you are happy with the print, I will ask you for the full sum owed via e-Transfer or cash upon pickup.
Once payment has been received, we can then arrange a time for you to pick up the prints.
