Estevao says he wants to make history at Chelsea and become the club's most successful Brazilian player of all time.
In June, Chelsea announced that they had completed a £28m deal to sign 17-year-old Estevao, one of the most exciting young talents to emerge from Brazil in recent times. Estevao – who will join the Blues next summer – has enjoyed a meteoric rise since making his first-team debut for Palmeiras last December, scoring 14 goals in 42 appearances for his boyhood club.

With the decisive goal in Palmeiras' recent win over Gremio, the teenager became the first player aged 18 or younger to be involved in 20 goals (12 goals, 8 assists) in a single season in the Brazilian top flight.
Dubbed the new Neymar, Estevao has been called up to the national team twice and will be keen to make an impression in Brazil’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay. “ Playing for the Brazilian national team is a huge happiness. It’s a dream come true,” he said.
As a kid I always said that one day I would be there and I have made that dream come true. I am very happy and I hope to wear the national team shirt more often. I am a bit nervous but I am happy to have the first opportunity. Playing for Brazil is not a burden for me, you know? Wearing the Brazil shirt is a reason to be happy and I am very happy.
I'm very happy to be on the pitch. A little nervous, yes, because this is Brazil and because of the people who wear this shirt. But I'm calm. The team is very relaxed, everyone welcomed me very warmly."
Many famous Brazilian players have represented Chelsea over the years, with great success, including Willian, Ramires, Oscar, Felipe Luis and most recently Thiago Silva. David Luiz stands out as the most decorated Brazilian player in Chelsea's history, having helped the club win the Premier League, Champions League, two Europa Leagues and two FA Cups.
Despite still not making a single appearance for the Blues, Estevao says he wants to make history at Chelsea and become the club’s most successful Brazilian player of all time. “ I want to win trophies and show my best, show everything I can do,” he said.
I was really looking forward to visiting London. Everyone said it was one of the best cities in the world, that it was very touristy and everyone was very nice. That also influenced my decision to come to Chelsea. My goal is definitely to be the most successful Brazilian player there.”
