Community-Engaged Teaching and Scholarship: Building Collaborative Relationships Beyond Grounds
Organized by Kate Stephenson, CTE Faculty Fellow, CETS Program Director, & Assistant Professor, English
Relationships with people, connections to histories and spaces beyond UVA, and advocacy-based pedagogy are central to innovation and resilience at the University. To encourage collaboration, the Community-Engaged Teaching Scholars (CETS) program, sponsored by the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Office for Academic Outreach, brought together 17 faculty from across UVA and UVA Wise to build new courses, develop community partnerships, and share research interests. Join us for conversations with faculty, students, and community members about the exciting projects that have emerged over the past two years and learn about opportunities to become involved in this growing community.
This session will include an informal reception.
