Band members were Dave Oehlrich, Jeff Jenkins, John Lang (RIP), Mike Klarwill, Bob McGilvrey and Jackie Puryer (nee Smith who lived at Woodbourne). The band played at many dances at Harry Tootell's club, 'The Scene' (upstairs in Francis Street). St Andrews was also favourite venue and anywhere else they could plug in an amp. The band's jackets were red with black furry trim, purchased from Thomas'. The band practised in a room in the water tower at RNZAF Woodbourne.

This photo is probably not a true portrayal of our 1966 year in Block 17. Jack Sutton and myself after returning to Wigram from Ruapuna Speedway, Christchurch where we had been raking cinders. The evenings there afterwards were organised by the bloke who managed the YMCA.
