The service requirements for this medal have changed to 14 years to bring it in line with other government services.

New Zealand Defense Service Medal 

We are all entitled to this medal.

The New Zealand Operational Service Medal

Most ex ACS personnel are now entitled to the NZDSM (NZ Defense Service Medal).
