The Wildcat Pulling Team competed in the 2025 ASABE IQS competition with a custom-designed right angle gearbox. While the design performed well in competition, the gearbox's cooling capabilities were unknown. To optimize cooling, our team added cooling fins to the side of the right-angle gearbox. In the following weeks, our team will be using flow simulation software to determine how effective the new design is compared to the 2025 right-angle gearbox. This will allow our team to analyze where additional changes might need to occur to optimize cooling capabilities.
