TEAM AGREEMENT: What’s Inside
Participation on the Competition Team requires a higher level of commitment from both dancers and parents than a standard dance class. ThE agreement has been created to clearly outline expectations for competitive dancers and their families and to support a smooth, productive, and successful season.
Please review all policies carefully. It is essential that both the dancer and parent/guardian fully read and understand this agreement before committing to the Elevation Competition Team.
A copy of your completed agreement will be emailed to you upon submission. If you do not receive a copy, your form may not have been fully submitted.
Deadline to complete this agreement: June 15th.
Agreement Includes:
Solo / Duo / Trio Participation & Policies
Eligibility is based on both group participation and faculty approval
Priority is given to dancers participating in group routines
Choreography and coaching assignments are determined by EDS faculty
Additional fees such as choreography, weekly coaching, event studio fees, convention fees and event entry fees apply
Group Participation Information
Weekly class and rehearsal requirements must be met
Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals, competitions, and performances is expected
Absences must be communicated in advance and may impact participation
Dancers must remain enrolled in all required technique classes throughout the season
Failure to maintain class requirements may result in removal from routines
Competition & Convention Fees / Expectations
Participation in all mandatory competitions and events is required
Optional events may be offered but are not guaranteed
Professionalism, teamwork, reliability, preparedness, and positive representation of EDS are expected at all times
Convention attendance associated with competition events is mandatory
Financial Commitment
Monthly tuition and competition-related fees must be paid on time and account must be in good standing in order to participate in rehearsals and events.
Costumes, travel, lodging, food, and additional expenses are the responsibility of the family unless otherwise stated
Late or missed payments may result in removal from participation and/or withheld access to rehearsals, performances, costumes, or events
Team Absence & Participation Policy
Consistent attendance in all required classes and rehearsals is expected
Excessive absences and/or excessive sitting out of classes may result in probation, required make-up classes, loss of performance opportunities, or removal from routines
Additional fees may apply for required make-up instruction and rehearsal time
Attendance during competition months is especially critical
Cancellation Policy
Families are financially responsible for deadlines and cancellation policies outlined in this agreement
Cancellation of participation may result in continued financial obligation due to choreography, costume, administrative, and restaging expenses.
Refunds and/or tuition credits policy has changed. Please read this section carefully.
Code of Conduct
Dancers are expected to demonstrate respect, focus, accountability, teamwork, and a positive attitude
Parents/guardians are expected to communicate respectfully with faculty, staff, dancers, and other families while supporting studio policies and decisions
EDS reserves the right to dismiss any participant who does not uphold these standards
Communication
Important updates will be communicated through email and/or approved studio communication platforms
It is the responsibility of families to regularly review communications and remain informed regarding schedules, rehearsals, performances, deadlines, and policy updates
