IPA June Update

The picture above shows President Catherine Connelly at Áras an Uachtaráin, where she welcomed 60 children and their teachers from across Ireland to her residence in Phoenix Park. During the visit, the children shared their ideas on how they would make their local communities and the wider world a better place, drawing on their work in school on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This event was organised by the Global Citizenship School initiative in Ireland, of which we are a committed member. It provided a valuable opportunity for young people to demonstrate their understanding of global citizenship and their commitment to creating a more just, sustainable, and inclusive world.

I hope this IPA Justice Desk update for June 2026 finds you all well.

There are two items I would like to draw to your attention.

Firstly, you are warmly invited to join a prayer service on 12th June as we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart. We hope many of you will be able to participate in this special time of prayer and reflection. (Details below).

Secondly, I am pleased to share The Lantern, the IPA newsletter. This edition features stories from around the world that highlight advocacy efforts and the work of IPA Presentation Sisters and their colleagues in promoting justice, peace, and human dignity.
