Dear Sisters and Friends,
I am sorry about the extra newsletter so soon after the last but there are a number of events that are happening shortly and I felt you should have the opportunity to attend.
Firstly:
I wanted to draw your attention to the International Day for Prayer and Awareness of Human Trafficking on February 8th next and the possibility of attending an online prayer service to mark the occasion.
Secondly:
Shining A Light on Racism in England - NJPN Webinar on February 5th at 7.30pm: A live webinar and conversation of faith, witness, and action. You can Register HERE. (I will be moderating this webinar)
Thirdly:
Act to Prevent Trafficking in Ireland are holding a webinar on Feb 24th next at 7pm to mark their 20th anniversary and there are a number of key speakers in attendance. (I have been invited to speak at this event also). We hope that you might support us with your attendance on the evening. Details below.
Fourthly:
I wanted to alert you to the forthcoming Trócaire Annual Lecture. You can attend in person or indeed online. But you must register. The title of the lecture is “Care for Creation Amidst the Cries of War ~ Working for Peace in the Earth Community” and the Keynote speaker is: Dr. Hugo Slim, Director of the Las Casas Institute for Social Justice at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford. Again you would be most welcome.
And finally:
I am offering notice of the second Friends of Nano Lecture where I have been asked to speak and contribute. I also include a recording of the first lecture last Saturday evening.
Many thanks for your attention in this regard.
