Dear Sisters and Friends,
There has been no official IPA Justice Contact update in January; however, I am happy to share some news with you in the meantime. Much of this update relates to our Presentation IPA commitments.
Firstly, Ireland will be examined under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) later this year. The International Presentation Association will be making a submission as part of this review, focusing on Ireland’s human rights adherence to its obligations and responsibilities. I have already prepared and submitted relevant information for this official submission.
In addition, I will be working with Franciscan International and Edmund Rice International to help prepare a UPR submission on the issue of human trafficking. This is a particularly significant year for this work, as Act to Prevent Trafficking in Ireland (APT Ireland) celebrates its 20th anniversary.
I have also been invited to speak on the topic of 'Justice, Catholic Social Teaching and Nano Nagle' at the Friends of Nano Speaker Series on April 25th. You can register your interest to attend HERE.
On February 5th, I will be moderating a webinar for the National Justice and Peace Network (NJPN) in the UK entitled “Shining a Light on Racism in England.” You can register to attend HERE, and we would love to see you there.
I have included the IPA calendar below, which you are welcome to print for personal use. (You can also click HERE).
Finally, as we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Presentation Congregation, we are delighted to invite you to participate in a special global initiative: the IPA 250th Anniversary Dance Project.
Every good wish,
Brian

IPA 250th Anniversary Dance Project.
Dear Members of the IPA Community,
I hope this message finds you well.
As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Presentation Congregation, we are delighted to invite you to take part in a special global initiative: the IPA 250th Anniversary Dance Project.
This project is a creative and prayerful way for communities across the Presentation family to mark this significant milestone together. Through movement, music, and shared expression, we hope to honour our history, celebrate our diversity, and renew our commitment to justice, dignity, and faith.
Attached to this email, you will find a PDF document that explains the project in more detail, including the purpose of the initiative, practical guidelines, and how to take part. We kindly encourage you to read through this document and share it with others in your community who may wish to participate.

In addition, an invitation video introducing the project can be viewed on YouTube here: https://youtube.com/shorts/xFmzkd6Br1w. This video offers a visual and personal invitation into the spirit of the project.
You can also explore additional resources on our website: https://www.ipango.org/resource-hub.
We warmly invite Sisters, Justice Contacts, Presentation People, and community members to participate in ways that feel meaningful and authentic to their local context. Each contribution will form part of our shared celebration of 250 years of Presentation life.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for all that you do to keep the Presentation spirit alive across the world. We look forward to celebrating this milestone together.
Warm regards,
--
