Frequently Asked Questions?
Is the Performance Team commitment for ALL of 2026?
Yes, the Performance Team commitment is for the full year (4 terms). Eisteddfods occur throughout Term 2 and Term 3. Term 4 is focussed on concert preparation.
What is covered in the weekly ‘Performance Team’ classes?
The weekly performance team classes cover the choreography and rehearsal of the performance routines. This is not a technique class and rather focusses on performance skills and choreography comprehension. It is compulsory that students enrol in a minimum of 2 x technique style classes (Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics) to ensure their technique is strong and of a high standard.
What is the focus of the Radiance Performance Teams?
Radiance Performance Teams focus on developing student’s performance skills while challenging and developing their dance technique. Performance teams are available to students who show a natural ability for dance and are identified by the Radiance Teaching Team as excelling in their weekly classes.
How do I help my child build further flexibility and strength?
Students build their flexibility and strength through regular attendance in our Foundation Styles – Ballet, Jazz, and Acro. Each style contributes in its own way: Ballet strengthens posture and control, Jazz develops dynamic power, and Acro combines flexibility with strength and balance.
To complement their studio training, students are encouraged to practice simple stretching and conditioning exercises at home. Even 10–15 minutes, a few times a week, makes a big difference in building safe, long-lasting flexibility and strong technique.
Together, class training and home practice help dancers progress with confidence!
