What is the Youth Wellbeing Success Summit?
The YWSS connects school communities [students & teachers, parents by info share] to wellbeing resources. It is a one-day event, from 8:30am to 3:00pm where students will meet and interact with service providers. Activities include keynote speakers, various interactive workshops, and Speed Wellbeing Networking.
The YWSS goes beyond the traditional expo approach by connecting service providers to students in small, captivated groups thus, allowing you to provide skills and resources to improve student wellbeing.
The event includes a student and teacher Speed Wellbeing Networking session to discuss strategies to overcome challenges in key areas of young people's lives that affect their wellbeing. The session will give you up to ten minutes per group on a rotating basis. Your organisation will have meaningful interactions with students and is a great way to share what services your organisation offers to support students in the local community.
The YWSS provides organisations access to 600+ students, teachers and other service providers to make valuable and meaningful interactions. All under one roof on one day saving you time and resources whilst still making a positive impact on the community. (Registered participants receive a free lunch valued at $38!)
Yes, students will receive an event showbag on the day to take home filled with resources and merchandise. SWC encourages organisations to provide wellbeing related resources that will be beneficial to students and teachers, these may include:
Resources: Handouts such as flyers, brochures, and booklets about your organisation, the services you provide, any support networks they can reach out to, etc.
Merchandise: Promote your organisation (e.g., pens, USB sticks, notepads, stationery, toys, phone accessories etc.).
Contact SWC if you would like to drop off your resources and merchant the SWC office for our team to pre-pack the items into the student showbags.
