Cordell McGary is a Senior Certification/Compliance Officer for the Office of Contracting Equity of the Department of Procurement Services. He is involved in the administration of the Minority, Woman-Owned, Veteran, Business Enterprises Owned by People with Disabilities (MBE/WBE/VBE/BEPD), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and Airport Concession (DBE/ACDBE) certification programs in compliance with local and federal guidelines designed to create a “level playing field” on which eligible businesses can compete fairly for contract opportunities in the public sector. Cordell also represents the City of Chicago as a member of the Illinois Unified Certification Program Committee (ILUCP). The ILUCP is responsible for the oversight of federal DBE and ACDBE certification program activities in the State of Illinois. Member agencies include the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra, and Pace.

An urban professional with over 25 years experience in the fields of Banking, Business Operations and Public Administration, Cordell is committed to the growth of small businesses, job creation, and community development in the City of Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Chicago State University and resides on the South Side.
