Part 4 Hypothesis Testing - Introduction

This is an extension of the Crash Course introducing you to terminology and principles of Hypotheses Testing.

In the center of all is the p value. We will look how this p-value is connected with hypotheses, the acceptance level, the test statistics and degrees of freedom.

We also have a quick look at power and effect size.

At the end you will see some practical examples

We used this data file in Excel - Class records used for show and tell in class on Friday

Class Data

This is a simple file recording attendance number of books used and grades.

I used this file to introduce SPSS

Survey Data

We used the survey to look at layout of questionnaires and encoding of the different survey questions in SPSS in part 2.

This file also was used as an example in other parts of the crash course.

SPSS Survival Manual

This is the newest edition of the SPSS Survival Guide using SPSS 26.

Remember also previous versions will work well for you.

Usually the website offers some great additional material, but for version 7 this seems missing in the moment.
