德國影帝法蘭茲羅戈斯基(Franz Rogowski) 主演的《羈不住的自由》去年不僅獲康城影展「一種注目」評審團獎，該片今年更被選為奧斯卡最佳國際電影15強，國際影評稱其演出達致另一高峰。這次放映更是港澳首映電影中法蘭茲演活被社會遺棄羞辱的男同性戀者，在長達123年同性戀者會因為「刑法典第175條」而成為罪犯的社會下，他是如何活出自己的生命。這次放映更是港澳首映。

被形容為「年輕版瓦昆菲尼克斯」的法蘭茲羅戈斯基(Franz Rogowski)生於1986年，16歲時離家出走，曾在瑞士小丑學校學習技法一年後搬到柏林，以擔任舞者與街頭音樂家維生。銀幕處女作是《Frontalwatte》(2011) ，後憑電影《愛情五分熟》(Love Steaks, 2013) 勇奪「慕尼黑國際影展」影帝大獎。2015年，他因演出一鏡到底的《維多莉亞》(Victoria) 而廣受矚目，續後，法蘭茲與多位國際級名導演合作而受到國際矚目，在名導麥克漢內克（Michel Haneke) 作品《幸福結局》(Happy End, 2017 ) 中與法國影后伊莎貝雨蓓(Isabelle Huppert) 合作；並被康城金棕櫚獎導演泰倫馬力克（Terrence Malick) 欽點演出《隱藏的生活》(A Hidden Life, 2018)。同年，他以電影《賣場華爾滋》(In The Aislses)榮登德國電影獎影帝，因他出色表現，獲選為該年柏林影展「年度歐洲之星」。

法蘭茲多次與被譽被傳媒譽為最有才華的德國導演克里斯汀佩佐(Christian Petzold)，以及柏林、歐洲電影節影后的德國女星寶拉貝爾（Paula Beer）合作，首作《過境情謎》(Transit，2018) 遊走在殘酷與人性之間，獲得德國電影獎的傑出貢獻大獎。三人二度合作的《水漾的女人》(Undine) 奪下柏林影展國際影評人費比西獎。法蘭茲在片中與神秘女子溫蒂妮 (寶拉貝爾 Paula Beer 飾)一見鍾情，卻意外捲入一場魔幻與現實難分的愛情。兩位演員精彩的火花以及導演的出色敍事，足以讓觀眾樂而忘返。

"Great Freedom" starring German actor Franz Rogowski not only won the "Un Certain Regard" Jury Award at the Cannes Film Festival last year, but also entered the Oscar for Best International Film Top 15 this year. Praised by the film critics saying his performance has reached another peak. In the film, Franz plays a gay man who has been abandoned and humiliated by society. For 123 years in Germany, homosexuals will be criminals and sentenced to high sentences because of Article 175 of the Penal Code.

Franz Rogowski, born in 1986, left home at the age of 16 after a conflict with his mother. He studied techniques at a Swiss clown school for a year and moved to Berlin to make a living as a dancer and street musician . He made his screen debut in the lead role in Frontalwatte (2011). Later, he won the Best Actor Award at the Munich International Film Festival with the film “Love Steaks” (2013). In 2015, he gained prominence for his one-shot "Victoria," which won the Silver Bear in Berlin and six German Film Awards, and has been described as a "young Joaquin Phoenix". Afterwards, Franz's film contracts continued and his cooperation with a number of international famous directors attracted international attention. Franz and the legendary actress Isabelle Huppert played in the famous director Michel Haneke's "Happy End" (2017); and was selected by Cannes Palme d'Or director Terrence Malick for “A Hidden Life” (2018). In the same year, he won the Best Actor at the German Film Awards for his film "In The Aisles" and was selected as the "European Star of the Year" at the Berlin Film Festival for his outstanding performance.

Franz has collaborated with Christian Petzold, who has been hailed as the most talented German director by the media. Their first collaboration Transit (2018) wanders between fantasy and reality. Received the Outstanding Contribution Award at the German Film Awards. The second collaboration, "Undine," won the Prix FIPRESC Award at the Berlin Film Festival. Franz plays an engineering diver in the film, who falls in love with Urban Development Bureau tour guide Wendine (Paula Beer) because of her keenness to watch exhibitions, but accidentally gets involved in a love that is inseparable between magic and reality.

This time, Franz's latest masterpiece "Great Freedom" premiered in Hong Kong and Macau, and the "KINO German Film Festival - Macau" seizes this opportunity to bring local film buffs and audience the two heavyweight works - "Transit" and "Undine", the best collaborations of Franz, Christian Petzold and Paula Beer, who won the Best Actress at both the Berlinale and European Film Festival.
