Ongoing maintenance and removal of Austrian and Scotch Pines along Koke Mill Rd. Most are infected with diplodia tip blight, an airborne fungus that causes withering of needles and branches, and eventual death of the tree.
Plant new trees/shrubs on Association property, pending agreement with homeowners adjacent to planted areas (new city and CWLP regulations restrict the types of plantings under utility wires). Contact the Grounds Chairman for details.
Please dispose of them in accordance with City requirements for free branch pickup.
Branches not placed in the parkway will not be picked up by the City, or by Association volunteers or contractors.
This pile will not be picked up!
If you would like a tree on Association property pruned use the "Contact Us" link to the left to send an e-mail. You may also contact any of the volunteer officers of the Association Board to have the job scheduled.

"Backflow is the undesirable reversal of flow of non-potable water or other substances through a cross connection and into the piping of the public water supply. This contamination can move throughout the distribution system and into the homes of your neighbors.
In residential homes, lawn irrigation systems are the most frequent cause of concern as lawn chemicals could be drawn into the water system if system pressures were to drop due to a fire flow or main break in the area. Commercial buildings need to protect the public water supply from their irrigation systems, fire suppression systems, boilers and specialty equipment like medical devices, ice machines and commercial laundries.
The Illinois EPA requires every water supplier to survey all of their water customers to identify these possible cross connections.
Your voluntary compliance is greatly appreciated."

Here are some helpful guidelines to follow when installing your mailbox:
Position your mailbox 41" to 45" from the road surface to the bottom of the mailbox or point of mail entry.
Place your mailbox 6" to 8" back from the curb. If you do not have a raised curb, contact your local postmaster for guidance.
Put your house or apartment number on the mailbox.
If your mailbox is on a different street from your house or apartment, put your full street address on the box.
If you are attaching the box to your house, make sure the postal carrier can reach it easily from your sidewalk, steps, or porch.
Installing the Post
The best mailbox supports are stable but bend or fall away if a car hits them. The Federal Highway Administration recommends:
A 4" x 4" wooden support or a 2"-diameter standard steel or aluminum pipe.
Avoid unyielding and potentially dangerous supports, like heavy metal pipes, concrete posts, and farm equipment (e.g., milk cans filled with concrete).
Bury your post no more than 24" deep.

"Inlets can easily get clogged with leaves and other debris and cause street flooding. You can help prevent this issue by raking leaves and other debris away from the inlets by your home. Please help keep inlets near your property clear. As a reminder sweeping leavings into the street is a city violation and doing so could result in a fine."
