Nicole Peterson

Nicole is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work bridges traditional artmaking with digital innovation. Working across acrylic and watercolour painting, illustration, and the Adobe Creative Suite, she brings a bold, contemporary sensibility to visual storytelling—where fine art, design, and culture intersect.

Born and raised in southern Saskatchewan, Nicole moved to Melfort in 2023, where she has become an active presence in the local arts community.

A graduate with honours of the Visual Communications program at Medicine Hat College, she draws on a diverse background in art and design in both her creative practice and community roles. 

Her visual language is influenced by the clarity and wit of design icons such as Paul Rand, Milton Glaser, Saul Bass, and Paula Scher, along with the expressive power of Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Banksy. Inspired by media, nature, and fashion, her work balancesstrong design principles with emotional resonance and cultural awareness.
