The Vidya Poshak Yuva Fellowship is a transformative youth leadership and education program designed to empower passionate young individuals to contribute meaningfully to child education and community development. Anchored in Vidya Poshak’s mission of enabling educational equity, the fellowship nurtures socially conscious leaders who work at the grassroots level to support children from underserved backgrounds.
The fellowship combines training, field engagement, mentoring, and innovation to equip fellows with the knowledge, skills, and values required to create sustainable educational impact
Our One-year program places Fellows as full-time teachers in some of Karnataka's most underserved classrooms, where educational inequity, limited resources, and learning gaps are major challenges. During this period, Fellows take on the responsibility of teaching students on a daily basis, not only delivering academic content but also serving as mentors, role models, and change-makers within the school community.
As full-time teachers, Fellows gain first-hand experience of the realities of the education system. They work closely with students, parents, school staff and local communities to understand the social, economic and emotional factors that influence learning. This immersive experience helps Fellows develop strong teaching skills, classroom management abilities, empathy, leadership and problem-solving skills also fellows handle the community development projects where they closely work with students, Teachers and Parents.

Transformational education goes beyond traditional teaching methods that focus only on academic performance. It aims to create deep, meaningful change in learners by shaping their mindset, values, confidence, and sense of purpose. This approach encourages students to think critically, question existing systems, and become active participants in their own learning journey.
Holistic education focuses on the overall development of a child, addressing not just intellectual growth but also emotional, social, physical, and ethical well-being. It recognizes that every child is unique and learns in different ways, and it aims to create balanced learning experiences that nurture all aspects of a student’s personality.
Child safety is a fundamental principle of our fellowship program. It refers to the protection of children from harm, including physical, emotional, and psychological harm, while ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
